So we just finished watching Reichenbach Fall (conclusion to Episode 3 of Season 2.  You know.  That one).

<deep breath>

AAAAAAaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaaAAAAAAA how did he DO that???!!??  That kind of very public 'death' is, um, hard to fake!

No.  Don't tell me directly.

I am curious, however, if Season 3 follows on after Season 2, or if it's, like, all flashback (since it would perhaps be foolish to ever let John know he is in fact still alive).

Also, we realized that there maybe ought to have been a fourth person on M's kill-list and are mulling over why he isn't.  Too well protected?

Oh.  I am still alive.  Worky work.  Cats.  Some sewing stuff.  Singing going well.  The usual.  It's even raining!

Season 3 does follow on from there. It is not flashback. The story moves forward. I did a lot of screaming at the television while the story was moving forward. That's all I'll say.

I'll be REALLY curious about your impressions, if you start watching Season 3 soon. Because I have a particular perspective, having watched the end of Season 2 and then waited however many YEARS for the story to pick up again, but it might be REALLY interesting, possibly in good ways, possibly in bad ways, to pick up Season 3 immediately. So if you do that, I'd love to hear about it!

Colin and I watched the first two seasons. After Reichenbach (which as a childhood reader of Holmes I saw coming..) we were eager for season 3. Then we mostly forgot about it until it was coming out. I did like it, and think you will as well.
