That's more than a little ridiculous; basic shapes should be available anytime, as long as you're not looking for something weird, asymmetrical, or anything like that. Oh fashion industry, how we love you. [/sarcasm]

The really silly thing is, I even have a skating dress pattern that's similar to that dress you just linked; the major difference is the dropped waistline, and the armholes would need slight tweaking (as the one I have was designed with sleeves) but it has the keyhole back and everything. I doubt I could get anything done in time for the immediate competition, but if you do this again maybe I should make you a dress. :P
