Christmas evening
Dec. 25th, 2010 08:35 pmSeveral people I know of got gifts that they were pleased with for Christmas:
• Me. I got Kirby's Epic Yarn, which I plan to start sometime this week once I go through the end sequence of Crystal Bearers. (We did put the pink puffball in the Wii briefly this evening... ya know, just to make sure the game worked.)
• Huz was pleased to receive volumes 7 and 8 of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, and a recording of Jenkins' Stabat Mater, which I discovered kind of by accident tooling around recommendations on Amazon, I think
• Our niece got these HUGE eyes when she opened the electronics kit we gave her
• My brother is very appreciative of the check I sent him
• My brother-in-law was surprisingly pleased by the Shaun Tan book we gave him - he said it looked like it was right up his alley, so yay.
...oh, and speaking of Neil Gaiman: He mentioned thinking it would be cool to have a lamp-post to go in his local bit of very snow-covered forest a while ago. And his family came through!
And me, again: It's not a gift as such, but I will take it: I'm here, at home, with my wonderful huz having a quiet and pleasant Christmas. Yay!
