Weekend. Getting better but not there yet.
Skipped skating class this morning and went back to bed instead. Slept! Spent some time doing useful cleaning stuff - hey, I had the energy, and I figured if I got my part of the cleaning mostly done today I wouldn't feel guilty about taking a big ol' nap tomorrow afternoon. But that, plus walking to the grocery and back, did kind of flatten me - but only for 40 minutes or so. The daily hit of Symptoms At 5 doesn't seem to be as bad today, for which I'm duly grateful. And hey - last couple of nights I slept pretty well, with no meds. And last night, no extra pillow to boot. Must be getting better... it's just taking its time. Thank heavens we had no plans this weekend, so I can go lie down whenever I like.
I tried singing some, but have come to the conclusion that I largely shouldn't yet, as it irritates my throat. So probably no church tomorrow - sorry,
catagon3 . (We'll see how I feel in the morning.)
OTOH, this has been, um, useful on the videogame front...
Kart: Have cupped in 100cc on the first four races! Huh, 100cc is harder than 50cc. Go figure. (We tried a set of races last night on 150cc for the first time. Whoa, the timing is soooooo different! The engines are more powerful, therefore you have to start turning and drifting a LOT sooner.) But this would explain why, when I was going through 50cc, everything felt so much easier than it did when we played online - regional and worldwide races are 100cc by default. It's. Just. Harder.
Okami: Got CherryBombs x 2 the other day, and decided to go back and see if that made a difference in the Dragonian Realm digging game. Did it ever! If you bomb out most of the path down while you're on your way up, it makes life a LOT easier. And I'm more competent at the impossible jump sequence now. I have Power Slash 2, Cherry Bomb 3, uh... a whole lotta Praise.. and am making my way back to Ponc'tan and the dreaded Spirit Gate Run. Patience, young grasshopper. Oh yah, and I have NO IDEA where in Kamiki Village the other 2 stray beads are. *shrug*
