After a number of tries, I finally beat the game this evening!  The final thing is, appropriately, a task/minigame rather than a card battle: essentially, a game of air hockey.  The most difficult thing about it the first few goes was actually *not* scoring on your own goal.  (You have an AI helper on your side.  If you and the AI character hit the puck simultaneously, it counts as a 'power hit', effectively scoring more points on whichever goal it happens to run into first.  And you have a limited number of points available in your own goal.)

But I did it.  And I won the credits minigame, which I wouldn't even have known existed if I hadn't looked at a walkthrough (strategy guide, more like) at the end to determine whether my strategy in the air hockey game was the right one.  The photographs that float through the credits are cute.  Oh, and they let you save after the end credits run.  I can therefore continue trying to beat the various mini- and micro-games to obtain more duelling cards if I want.

On to Phoenix Wright and/or Phantom Hourglass!

(From what I've gathered, only one save slot is available in Phoenix Wright, which means the huz and I will probably not be able to play simultaneously.  We'll see; I'll run some tests.)

Happy weekend, everyone!
