*loves her new rotary cutter and mat and giganto-ruler*
Cutting straight edges is SO FAST now. Very zippy compared to scissors!
I finally got myself some energy around 6, so I ironed and cut out panels for The Easiest Skirt in the World. Which of course I'm not doing straight; I'm adding pockets, and I'm making it 4-panel so it can have a slit in the back, as I want it below knee length and it's the same not-flowy fabric the My Very First Shirt was made of, so it needs extra flexibility. Considering adding gores to it in all 4 panels, rather than just the slit in the back. Because hey. More flare is good, and why keep something simple when I can make it complicated? ;)
In other news, the little plastic presser foot lever is no longer made by Singer, nor could the nice sewing repair people find one from any alternate source. So... Once I get some *real* energy, it'll be time to call the store in San Mateo and see if they have Janomes that I can try out! <evil laugh> (It really does look like Janomes have more stuff for less dollars than Elnas, so it's going to be worth it to me to try some out.)
