Annoying sick
Sep. 21st, 2012 09:44 amBah. Third day out sick from work. It's not like it's dramatic illness, but it does appear to be pretty much exactly the same thing that my co-worker was out with: starting Wednesday with achy-ness and fatigue and not being able to get warm, which was generally better yesterday, then the headache yesterday afternoon, and now phlegm in my bronchial tubes. I'd really hoped to go back to work today, because being at home is Not Productive, and I generally like being Productive. OTOH, had a short visit to the vet earlier this morning to get a urine sample from Billie, and had some of the wooziness that goes along with being sick.
Bah. In some ways, I'd rather be Really Obviously Sick, because then I wouldn't feel guilt about not going to work. (Which I think is part of the wanting to be Productive. 'Cuz, if I really _had_ to go to work, I could.)
Um. I can clean up my part of the office, I guess. And play as much Last Story as I want. And watch Fullmetal Alchemist, which I started watching yesterday and fell in love with.
And TEA. Lots of TEA. And going back to bed and collapsing.
Yeah. Sounds like a plan.

The first version of the anime was started when the manga was about 1/4 - 1/3 of the way along, i.e. before any major "reveals". Then the anime writers were permitted to go their own way with the story and ended up in a VERY different place than the creator did with the manga. "Brotherhood" follows the manga.
Both versions are very well done and I think use a lot of the same voice actors, if you're watching the dubbed version. I've watched some subtitled episodes, but the Japanese voices sound funny to me, being used to "Ed's voice" and "Mustang's voice" in the dubs.
I'm glad you're enjoying it!
