We had a lovely trip back east a couple of weeks ago.  It was great seeing ladybird97, anise7, ahmorse, resonance_42, and many others (sorry, I'm forgetting your LJ names!) at the reunion (and ladybird beforehand - thanks again for letting us stay with you!).

We also had a good few visits with my dad.  He was much more energetic and engaged when we came to visit.  Although he uses very very few words these days, he went through his whole repertoire of funny noises at full volume and with full energy, in contrast to the last couple of times I've seen him.  Also, we watched him listening to some classical music and clearly getting much more into it than he has since his hospitalization in March.  He'll never get back to his original self, but it is nice to see a distinct uptick in engagement for a change.

And we bought a new 2012 Prius today.  :)

*hug* It was great to see you, and I was happy to provide hospitality! The extra hangout time was fabulous.

And it's even better that your dad was doing so well! I know that everything is relative (er, no pun intended) with his health being what it is, but that sounds like a really good visit.

I even got some verbal feedback from him today when I called - a definite rarity, so plusses there. :) We look forward to staying with you again if it works out, because staying with you was fabulous. :)

The regular version, trim level 3. The Prius-c had not gotten as good reviews as the regular one, and we certainly didn't need the extra space of the V. Our car has the cool nav system, voice commands, and backup camera, which are all toys I'm going to enjoy. :)
