Still alive!

amethyst73We had a lovely trip back east a couple of weeks ago. It was great seeing ladybird97, anise7, ahmorse, resonance_42, and many others (sorry, I'm forgetting your LJ names!) at the reunion (and ladybird beforehand - thanks again for letting us stay with you!).
We also had a good few visits with my dad. He was much more energetic and engaged when we came to visit. Although he uses very very few words these days, he went through his whole repertoire of funny noises at full volume and with full energy, in contrast to the last couple of times I've seen him. Also, we watched him listening to some classical music and clearly getting much more into it than he has since his hospitalization in March. He'll never get back to his original self, but it is nice to see a distinct uptick in engagement for a change.
And we bought a new 2012 Prius today. :)
