Tazz Cat (the cat pictured in my regular user icon) has quite suddenly lost all strength in his back legs.  He was fine yesterday and limping some this morning, and tonight he can't really drag himself around.  It looks kind of like a partial paralysis.  No idea what's causing it, but, well, he's 19...

Will go to vet tomorrow and see what's what.

Are his hind limbs cold(-ish) to the touch? If so, a well-known cause could be a dislodged blood clot (an embolysm) that has cut off circulation at a specific point in the feline circulatory system. Definitely take him to the vet ASAP in the hopes of getting the clot thinned and restoring some functionality. This condition can be caused by poor heart function (something I got educated about because of Moonshine's issues) and may be partially mitigated by blood thinners. The condition is often described as being quite uncomfortable to the affected animal, so I would recommend attending to it without delay.

I checked his symptoms online last night and saw that a blood clot could be the problem. Fortunately, his hindlimbs are normal temperature, so it's probably not that.

He's also mostly seemed pretty comfortable, tho I just got back from the grocery and he's looking less so at the moment.

He has an appointment in a little over half an hour. I'm guessing I will be told "we won't know till we get results of blood/urine tests/X-rays". :/

Thanks VERY much for your concern!

Oh no! :( I hope that it turns out to be something less serious.
