amethyst73So I got notified the other day that my position is going away in a year. (This is part of why I prefer academia to companies - your lead time for ends of jobs are WAY longer.)
Nominally, it's due to financial reasons. The full story is more complicated and will be in a later post.
I wasn't particularly surprised, and I'm not particularly upset or anxious. Again, full story later. But I figured that I should post that This Thing Is Happening.
