- I know what undersewing is and how to do it!  I had to look on the web to get a good description of it and why it's used - the diagram and brief description in the Butterick pattern were completely baffling.  But the collar piece is now completely on, and done!  The back edges to either side of the zipper are a little uneven - oh well.  But they're close enough to the top of the zipper that I won't even need the hook-and-eye fastening.  So that's all right.

- I was intelligent and basted a sleeve together at the recommended seam allowance = just a bit too tight, as I kind of figured it might be.  Solution: do the double-stitching quite close to the fabric edge (close enough that I won't be clipping off the extra afterwards, cuz there won't be any).  That should alleviate that particular problem.  Hafta remember to give myself some extra in the shoulder seam if I can, too.   That's going to be hard, I 'spect.

Time to go for a walk and do grocery shopping.  It's pretty outside!
