Someone should have checked that...
Mar. 27th, 2009 09:01 pmHaving bought the Myst V collector's edition when I purchased it for Huz some years ago (with soundtrack, cheat book, and Making Of DVD) and having finished the game the other week, we decided to watch the Making Of DVD tonight.
1. It's narrated by Generic Action Movie Trailer Announcer Guy, so all the narration is kind of hopelessly overdone.
2. It's much more of an infomercial than actual information. Don't just tell me how wonderful the games are, I played them already! Tell me stuff I *don't* know, please.
3. There are only four subsegments of the Making Of. We checked quite carefully - no easter eggs. If the makers of the Making Of segment had been *true* Myst fans, they would have been fully aware that in Myst, the magic number is ALWAYS 5! Hmph.
If anyone's interested in watching these videos without paying extra for them, there's a playlist at YouTube here.
(The soundtrack, on the other hand, is actually not bad, and will make nice work-at-the-computer music.)
