Spotted on an Eppendorf product page:

"Eppendorf Research® pro with its unmistakable button nose and merry switch eyes has shown its happy face in many laboratories and so brightened up the tedious daily routine."

Gah.  They'll be selling talking doors next.  Or maybe paying the talking doors to write product descriptions.

I suppose. It's colorful, anyway. I just find it kind of startling that the first selling point is that it's cute.

It's still a marketing stretch. I just see the face immediately and think it's cute.

Wow. Even I'm having trouble seeing the cute little face in there. They're really stretching :)

It took me a little while to find it. The 'mouth' isn't immediately obvious - it's that grey half-donut, with the tab sticking off of it (a tongue?).

I have a talent for seeing faces in objects. It's okay.
