2010 Video Game Lust List
Jan. 28th, 2010 08:29 pmIGN has come up with their most anticipated games for Wii and DS, and I've taken a look.
On Wii:
Arc Rise Fantasia, a JRPG without truly random, constant monster battles. Because Wii really needs a decent RPG.
Endless Ocean: Blue World, because I loved Endless Ocean. But because I haven't "finished" the original Endless Ocean yet, I won't be getting this for a while.
Epic Mickey, because it's got the magic brush thing going that helped make Okami marvelous. And dark action-adventure is good.
Fragile Dreams, because folks raved about the Japanese release. But if it ends up being more survival-horror than action-adventure, it goes off my list.
Zelda Wii, because duh. Even though this is the game about which the least has been revealed, it is highest on the Wii list and is probably the only one we'll buy close to its release date.
Monado: Beginning of the World, because Monolith (the folks who made Xenosaga) should know how to make a decent RPG. (Hadn't even heard of this till IGN's list came out today.)
On DS:
Ace Attorney Investigations, because I am a Phoenix Wright fan. As I'm only partway through Case #3 of 5 in the third of the Phoenix Wright games, I can wait to grab this till it turns up used.
Okamiden, a sequel to Okami, where you *finally* get to use something that really works like a brush. This is my most anticipated game on this whole list. A release date hasn't been announced yet; it's just TBA 2010. Yes, I know I have other games for my DS. But... but... I don't have any action-adventures for it. And it's Chibi-Okami, who is friggin' adorable! And the art and the music and stuff from the original game look from the trailer like they got kept! And.. well. :)
