It's my birthday!

From 1973 to here is what feels like a bit of a long time.  Huz suggests I'm twenty-seven, as seventeen is an awkward age (and besides which, at age 17, we're not married yet and I still have to go through grad school). 

I have received a box of almond-scented soap, a quite pretty silver pendant, and from Huz,  a copy of Shaun Tan's Tales from Outer Suburbia.  We look forward to reading it and enjoying the art of a Hugo winner. 

We have an earthquake drill at work today!  Special for mah birthday, no doubt.  :)
