Woops!  Sorry about not posting for a bit.

Job continues good.  I was quite proud of myself Tuesday morning when I came in before either of my two co-techs, checked the worklist, and merrily started getting stuff together for the day's work.  Yay self-confidence!

Mostly not sick.  Nose and throat improving.  Maybe I won't have to save versus anything this week?

Opened up Water Land in Kirby.  Got the other hard-to-get treasure in the racing level in Desert Land.  Still pretty entertained by Ghost Trick.  Can't wait for Okamiden to come out in another couple of weeks.

It's been really weird thinking about where I was and what was coming up a year ago.  We were having a fantastic time in New Zealand and hoping my mom wasn't doing too badly.  Sometime (hopefully soon) I'll finish the series of journal entries about our trip.  And then.. well.  The universe played fair and square, is all I can say.    ..But for those of you in the lost-a-parent club, is the month of the anniversary of a parent's death just plain hard for a while?  [livejournal.com profile] ladybird97 , I seem to remember you saying something about that.  Suggestions on how to get through it appreciated.

Oh, yes, the whole month is hard for the year-anniversary - like pulling the scab off a mostly-scarred wound.

Some combination of facing it - going through scrapbooks and old music and memories and so forth - and running into distractions full tilt - is how I've dealt with it, but each person finds their own way.

I'm here, ready to listen, provide, solace, provide distraction. Let me know how I can help.

*hug* Yeah. The whole month is just painful, especially the first time around. Treat yourself well - get sleep, take long walks, eat well, don't try to push yourself if you're feeling bad - and surround yourself with happy memories and people you love. Take care....
