Time for a KOTOR update!

So far, I've completed the quests on Dantooine and Tatooine, and done almost everything (except the final test) on Korriban. I've played Bastila like a violin and gotten her to kiss me. (Score!!!) I've had lots of fun, and I've discovered rather a lot about the kind of guy my character Gale is. (Warning: spoilers in the jumps if you haven't played the game yet.)

He values family. Maybe he thinks that family are the only people you can ever really know, though 'family' can be an extensive term - he's been nice to everyone in his little group. He was all for the marriage of the Romeo and Juliet couple on Dantooine, he helped get the little girl back to her family on Dantooine, he convinced Mission that she shouldn't just leave her brother to the mercy of the Exchange, and he peacefully reunited Bastila with her mom and Carth with his son.

He strongly disapproves of people who torture and/or kill other people for no better reason than just because they can. He came to the rescue of a random woman that a random Sith was tormenting, and he saved the life of another student hopeful who was being tortured to death by a crazy Sith professor. He had deep sympathy for the students who left the Sith university because they refused to murder on someone else's whim - they're his kind of people. On the other hand, if someone's threatening Gale's life (as a couple of the other students do), he has no compunction about offing them.. but then, neither do light-side Jedi, for the most part. Gale was also okay about using truth serum to extract information from a prisoner of the Sith, but (1) that wasn't really torture, and (2) there was a senior Sith watching. Who Gale then ended up killing, so that was okay.

It's not being very hard to stay in neutral territory. I just let him do what he wants when he has to make a moral choice, and he ends up mostly staying there. He does have a risk of going down the dark side, because Force Lightning is very fun. Being neutral is a little annoying now that I'm coming across Light- or Dark-Only items - there's an awfully nice set of Light-Only Jedi robes that, well, Bastila and Juhani can wear and enjoy. The Dark-Only gloves and facemask aren't as cool.

Hours played so far: almost 45.

Oh, and I don't remember Le Meridien Hotel in Cambridge as being one of the locations you have to go to in order to find a Star Map, but that's clearly one up on top of the building:
