Huh. I wonder if I'll ever have a period in this job when I'm not stupidly busy?
This week's description of busy goes about like this.
Monday: Drive to Lawrence Berkeley National Labs on Monday. Streak out 74 different clones. Preparation and streaking takes all day, some hours longer than I had anticipated.
Tuesday: Sit around for a while waiting for contact at LBNL to call me and let me know if all my plates grew. Around 9:45, give up and drive to Stanford.. partway there, receive call letting me know I need to come. Take BART to and from LBNL. Total transportation time roughly 2 hrs each way, but at least I get to zone for part of it. Restreak a bunch of stuff. Find out that I don't have to go to Berkeley tomorrow!
Wednesday: I'm sure I'll find some way of keeping myself occupied.
Thursday: Drive self and labmates down to Monterey for the MCP Department Retreat. Listen to science talks in Monterey for a couple of days. Drive back Saturday.
Sunday: Collapse.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and indeterminate later parts of the week: Drive to Berkely to do more work there.
------
You know your brain is tired when you can't decide whether the past tense of "streak" is "struck" or "stroke." The huz thinks it's "strought": if the past tense of seek is sought, then the past tense of streak should be strought, right?
